Design Cards That Communicate Priority
Components · cards
Updated 2026-07-28
Cards are not just containers. They create relationships between information.
Use cards when content needs separation:
Different objects.
Different actions.
Different priorities.
Avoid putting everything inside cards:
Too many cards create visual noise.
Flat layouts can sometimes communicate better.
Create hierarchy inside cards:
Title first.
Supporting information second.
Actions last.
Keep card actions predictable:
Primary action should be obvious.
Secondary actions should not compete.
Use consistent card anatomy:
Header.
Content.
Footer/actions.
A good card helps users scan before they read.
