Design Mobile Experiences Around Real Hands
Mobile · mobile
Updated 2026-07-28
Mobile interfaces are controlled by fingers, not cursors.
Make touch targets large enough:
Avoid tiny buttons.
Separate actions that are easy to tap accidentally.
Place important actions where thumbs naturally reach.
Do not hide essential actions only behind gestures.
Design for real mobile conditions:
Interruptions.
Slow connections.
Smaller screens.
Short attention periods.
Mobile design is not a smaller desktop. It is a different interaction environment.
